Above is a brief introduction to intellectual capital, although the entry is surprisingly… short!
I was surprised that Wikipedia didn’t have more to say about “intellectual capital” which is, I believe, the fastest growing and perhaps most important aspect of the New Economy (or what some call the “knowledge economy”).
The knowledge economy is different from the action economy where people performs actions.
Of course, most jobs require both THOUGHT and ACTION.
But more and more, thinking will become more important than acting.
Therefore, it is critical to learn more about intellectual capital, and how to identify it, capture it, and market it.
